Common questions
How does Party Pix work?
Sign in with Google, connect Google Drive, and create an event. Share its QR code or invitation link with your guests. Guests consent, enable their browser camera, and capture photos for your event album.
Do guests need an app or a Google account?
No app download or guest account is needed. Guests join in their browser, enter a display name, and accept the sharing notice. Only the organizer signs in with Google and connects Google Drive. Camera access requires permission and a supported browser.
Is Party Pix free to use?
Party Pix currently charges no fee and shows no ads. Captures use the organizer's Google Drive storage. Google Drive storage limits and provider restrictions still apply.
Where are event photos stored?
Photos upload directly from the guest's browser to the organizer's Google Drive. Party Pix confirms upload metadata before reporting a photo as saved. Uploads require connectivity and available Drive storage.
Can guests upload existing photos from their phone?
Party Pix uses the browser camera for new captures. It does not offer photo-library uploads. Files added manually in Google Drive do not appear in the Party Pix album or slideshow.
Does Party Pix keep a copy of my photos?
Party Pix does not persist guest photo or video content on its servers. Authorized previews and slideshows may stream through server memory. Party Pix stores account, event, consent, session, and upload metadata. Unfinished captures may remain in browser storage for retry until completion or discard.
Who can view and share event photos?
Organizers can view confirmed Party Pix captures and display them in an event slideshow. Guests can review their own uploads through their valid session. Organizers may share copies elsewhere and remain responsible for participant permissions.
Can photos be deleted through Party Pix?
Guests can delete their own uploads while their session is valid and the event is active within its scheduled dates. This moves the photo to Google Drive trash. Organizers manage Drive files separately. Deleting an event removes Party Pix records and access without deleting its Drive files or folder.
